Beyoncé Wears Head-to-Toe Silver in Versace Gown For ‘Renaissance’ Film Premiere

On Saturday night, Beyoncé’s movie Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé premiered at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. The film’s star did not walk the red carpet, and reportedly arrived as the theater’s lights dimmed. The event was somewhat shrouded in secrecy, with invitees receiving a save the date, but no address until 24 hours before. They were advised to wear “chrome” and think “cozy opulence.”

The super star demonstrated what she meant, posting her own images of her ensemble for the night on her website. In the pictures, she’s wearing a stunning Versace gown in metallic silver. The strapless dress featured a straight skirt and a structured bodice. She paired it with elbow-length opera gloves, also in silver. For the night, Beyoncé wore her hair down in a platinum curtain.

Donatella Versace posted about the look on Instagram, writing, “@beyonce, you are a vision in Versace. You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!! I can’t wait to see the Renaissance tour movie.”

The film is a documentary about Beyoncé’s famous world tour over the past year and is set to be released on Friday, December 1. The movie was directed by James B. Merryman, who also directed Shakira’s 2019 concert movie, and the cinematographer for Beyoncé’s Homecoming movie, Mark Ritchie.

The official summary of the film reads, “It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy and master her craft.”

In a trailer for the movie, Beyoncé can be heard saying, “In this world that is very male-dominated, I’ve had to be really tough to balance motherhood and being on this stage. It just reminds me of who I really am.”
