Taylor Swift Is Reportedly ‘Taking Things Slow’ With Travis Kelce But ‘Likes’ That He Pursued Her

Ever since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s big Kansas City game day and date night, sources have had a lot to say to People, Entertainment Tonight, and TMZ about the state of Swift and Kelce’s relationship. It is pretty new, all the sources made clear, but Swift and Kelce do like each other and have spent more time together in private than people know.

Multiple sources told TMZ that while Swift and Kelce are not “officially” dating yet, they have seen each other “several times” over the last few months. Yes, months. These previous in-person meetings have been in a “very private setting,” the sources said.

Swift met Kelce’s parents for the first time on Sunday though. Her time with Donna Kelce, Kelce’s mother, went “very well.” She even called Swift “a lovely person,” per the sources.

Kelce and Swift were not affectionate in front of cameras during the Kansas City outings, but they were cuddly behind the scenes. TMZ wrote that their “sources say they were holding hands at the restaurant he rented out for his family, friends, and teammates after the game. At one point Taylor was sitting on Travis’ lap.”

Two sources spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Kelce and Swift, too. The two stars aren’t about to jump into anything serious, ET’s sources said, but they are having fun. Swift sees him as a potential match for her.

“Travis has never shied away from his desire to give dating with Taylor a try, which he even said during a press conference a few months ago after seeing Swift in concert,” the first source said. “Travis and Taylor are taking things slowly and not rushing into anything serious. Both are very career-focused, so the focus is on that for now, but that’s not going to stop them from enjoying life when it’s the right moment.”

Kelce has real promise, the second source added: “Travis and Taylor have a lot in common, and they are having a great time getting to know each other. They have similar values. She likes that he pursued her and it has been easy and exciting for both of them.”

“Taylor is enjoying some time off from touring, and it’s been fun hanging out with Travis during this break,” that source continued. “Taylor wants a guy that’s into his career, does his own thing, but is also supportive and understands her, and Travis fits those qualities.”

People’s source stressed that Swift and Kelce’s relationship is really just beginning. They said that the two stars are still in the “super, super early days” of getting to know one another.

“They’re having fun,” the source said. “This was Taylor’s first time meeting his mom and dad, and everyone was enjoying themselves. She was super chill and low-key hanging out with his friends and family.”

Post-game, Kelce and Swift “were cute and normal, just hanging out and chatting,” the source said, adding their future is very much to be determined. “They’re just hanging out, and there’s no pressure.”
