Taylor Swift Reportedly Invited Sophie Turner Over for a Third Girls’ Night at Her Apartment
Taylor Swift is really offering her support to her friend Sophie Turner as the former Game of Thrones actress navigates her divorce from Joe Jonas. Page Six reports that in addition to Turner and Swift’s two public girls’ nights out last week in New York City, the pair had a third quiet night in. The outlet learned that Swift invited Turner to her TriBeCa apartment on Friday.
Multiple sources told Page Six that Turner “seemed to be in good spirits Friday night,” perhaps a reflection of how the support Turner received from Swift, her friends, and the general public has made a difference.
Turner and Jonas’ ongoing divorce made headlines again today after they filed an interim agreement with the court to keep their two daughters in New York as they figure out custody. They have a pretrial conference on October 3.
After Swift and Turner’s first hangout on September 19, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight the next day about their relationship. Turner has been a vocal Swiftie, and the source made it clear that even though Swift dated Turner’s estranged husband as a teenager for a few months, that ancient romantic history has had no negative impact on their friendship.
“[They] have always liked and respected each other,” the source said on Wednesday. “They are fans of each other and have been friends for a while. Sophie doesn’t care that Taylor dated Joe [Jonas]. It was so long ago and in the past. Taylor has a good time when she’s with Sophie, and they enjoyed some fun girl time together last night.”
Swift, of course, ended her big week generating more buzz for her Sunday date night with NFL player Travis Kelce in Kansas City, Missouri.
