Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Are Reportedly Texting But Have ‘No Set Plans to See Each Other Again’

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s “burgeoning” romance isn’t quite as burgeoning as all the gossip and the Kelce brothers’ coy NFL interviews may suggest. A source close to the situation told E! that Kelce and Swift actually are nowhere near steadily dating—and have not spent much time together in-person either.

“[They] met up once in New York,” the source said. “They’ve been texting and talking here and there but [have] no set plans to see each other again. It’s been very low-key as he’s been in season.” Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.

E!’s intel is very similar to the messaging Kelce himself gave while speaking on The Pat McAfee Show yesterday.

Regarding the Swift dating gossip itself, he said, “It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually gotten, right now it’s like a game of telephone. No one actually knows what’s going on, especially when you got [my brother] Jason Kelce on live television telling people both sides—he doesn’t know, it’s true, this and that.” (Jason Kelce had joked that the dating rumors between his younger brother and Swift were “100 percent true” on Wednesday.)

Kelce then addressed his current status with Swift: “I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court. I told her, you know, I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead [Stadium], you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit. So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”

Swift hasn’t said anything about the dating headlines. She was last photographed getting dinner with Sophie Turner in New York last night.

While E!’s source said Kelce and Swift had only hung once, a source told The Messenger on Wednesday that they saw each other one other time too.

“She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious,” that source said. “She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week. He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her.”

“They are seeing where things go,” the source added, noting that Swift’s “friends are always playfully suggesting people to set her up with. [She’s] in her fun girl era and strictly having fun right now.”
