Chris Evans and Alba Baptista Went to Great Lengths to Keep Their Cape Cod Wedding a Secret

Not much info has come out about Chris Evans and Alba Baptista’s Cape Cod wedding on Saturday, nor have any photos emerged from guests. That was by design, a source told Page Six, as the couple took deliberate measures to keep their nuptials as private as possible.

The wedding was “locked down tight,” the insider said, explaining that guests signed NDAs, and phones were forfeited.

Still, a few details have come out, including that the couple had their wedding at a private estate in Cape Cod, and that they invited their closest friends and family. Their ceremony was “beautiful,” Page Six’s source said.

People, meanwhile, got the names of some celebrities who attended: Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey; Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky; Jeremy Renner; and John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt. Krasinski and Blunt were seen at the US Open on Sunday, a sign that wedding activities were likely wrapped after Saturday.

Krasinski and Blunt arrived back at their hotel, the Newbury Boston, after midnight on Saturday, and “were very happy, joking and smiling,” a source told People.

Evans and Baptista kept their relationship almost entirely private. News of the 42-year-old actor dating the 26-year-old actress came out in November 2022. At that point, they had been together for “over a year” in private, a source told People at the time.

“It’s serious,” the source said. “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”

Evans spoke to People in an interview then about how keen he was to settle down and start a family. “That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family,” he said. “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.

“So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important,” he continued. “I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that—I can’t think of anything better.”
