Angelina Jolie Was Chic In Tan Pantsuit and Blouse On the Way to Theater In NYC

On Saturday, Angelina Jolie enjoyed a theater trip with her daughter Vivienne in New York City. The Eternals star was wearing a chic tan suit with wide slacks and a long blazer that swung around her body. Under the blazer, she wore a beige top with a scoop neck tucked in at the waist. She accessorized with nude pumps, black sunglasses, and a large leather tote in black and white.

Vivienne was wearing khaki pants and a purple t-shirt with a pair of black Converse sneakers. The 15-year-old had her hair up and was smiling as she and her mother chatted while walking past the cameras.

One of the teen’s interests is theater, and she and Jolie have been working on producing a stage version of SE Hinton’s 1967 book The Outsiders, partially adapted from the Francis Ford Coppola film of the story in 1983. It premiered at La Jolla Playhouse in February of this year in San Diego and is directed by Danya Taymor.

A source close to Jolie told People, “Angelina is excited about this new venture. She believes this is a musical for all ages but particularly resonates with young people. She wants to ensure the team is listening and working with young people every step of the way and that their voices are leading in bringing this production to life on Broadway.”

Jolie shared her own statement, saying, “Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives. She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”

She added, “I can’t begin to express how excited I am for this musical to make its Broadway debut and look forward to sharing this new adaptation of The Outsiders with the world.”
