Sources Speak Out on Rumor Claiming Timothée Chalamet Dumped Kylie Jenner
Life & Style, a tabloid that previously claimed Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn were engaged, reported earlier this week that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet had broken up, with some people alleging Jenner got dumped. The report spread on social media, and now multiple sources close to the couple have spoken to TMZ to dispel the rumor.
The sources said that just because Jenner and Chalamet have not been spotted in public lately, that does not mean they are no longer seeing each other. “Our sources say everything is cool between the two, they’re still an item, and ‘any reports that say otherwise are false,’” TMZ wrote. The outlet added that one source bluntly advised fans to “not to believe everything they read.”
Chalamet and Jenner’s romance has been her most private yet, as the two celebs have rarely ever been photographed let alone seen hanging out together. They have not spoken about their relationship either.
Reports of their romantic involvement first broke in April, although some sources claimed they privately began seeing each other even earlier.
The rumor about Jenner and Chalamet’s split came from a source’s testimony to Life & Style, which the TMZ sources debunked. Still, the Life & Style source claimed Jenner is “telling people that things between them naturally fizzled out because they’re both busy and traveling. But friends are whispering that Kylie got dumped.”
“Kylie is playing it casual, but her friends know this must sting,” the source continued. “Timothée was the first guy she really spent time with after splitting from Travis [Scott]. She even introduced him to her family.”
The last reputable update on Jenner and Chalamet appeared in Entertainment Tonight on June 1. A source said then, “They are keeping things casual at this point. It’s not serious, but Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes. It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.”
