Taylor Swift Wore Another Pitch-Perfect Casual Spring Look for Dinner in NYC After Joe Alwyn Split

Taylor Swift truly isn’t hiding after her and Joe Alwyn’s breakup. Following Swift’s three Tampa, FL Eras Tour shows—her first concerts since news of the split broke on April 8—Swift returned to New York City. She was photographed by paparazzi for the second time in the last two weeks, grabbing dinner in Soho with her friend Ashley Avignone, who appeared alongside her in some shots. Swift was dressed casually but, of course, stylishly in a brown short sleeved top, Agolde jeans, and boots from The Row.

Swift was last photographed in New York City exactly one week earlier, on Monday, April 10. She grabbed dinner with friends then too, going out with Jack Antonoff, Jennifer Lawrence, and others to Via Carota in West Village. During that New York trip, she was also filmed leaving Electric Lady Studios, a sighting signifying Swift may be recording new music.

Swift has signaled to fans that she is doing all right following the breakup, from giving a thumbs up to a fan’s “You ok?” sign during one of her shows in Tampa to wearing bejeweled butterfly jeans in New York last week. The jeweled butterfly was perceived as both an Easter egg for her song “Bejeweled” (a Midnights track about finding your own shine again after a failed romance) and a symbol of rebirth.

Sources have also spoken about Swift’s headspace following the split to multiple outlets. Swift initiated to breakup, one source told Entertainment Tonight on April 11, and she is “very focused on touring and her career right now. Taylor has nothing but respect for Joe and really loved and enjoyed all the time and memories she shared with him. They had a deep connection and she really appreciated that. She hopes they can be friendly in the future.”
