Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Spotted Kissing at Coachella

On Friday, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were filmed kissing while at Coachella in Indio, California, leading to reconciliation rumors for the former couple. While the footage is taken a bit slyly by onlookers, it didn’t seem like they were really trying to hide anything. In the fan-filmed clip, they’re dancing, holding drinks, embracing, and then appear to share a smooch.

Mendes is wearing a printed t-shirt, khaki pants, and has a bandana tied around his neck. Cabello is wearing a white corset top with short denim pants. The former couple announced their break up in November 2021 on Instagram after a little over two years together.

“Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” they wrote in a joint statement shared on their Instagram Stories. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends…We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”

They signed off with three red heart emojis and “Camila and Shawn.”

The pair had been friends for a few years when rumors started circulating that they were dating in July of 2019. Their first public appearance as a couple was at the MTV Video Music Awards in August of that year, where they performed their hit duet “Señorita.”

In 2020, the couple ended up staying Miami throughout the pandemic quarantine. In an interview with Audacy Check In, Mendes said he was glad they had that time together.

“Camila and I were so lucky because we were able to just kind of be in a still moment, and it was the first time in the past six years that we’ve been just able to relax and not work at all,” he said. “We were going on bike rides around Miami, and it just felt really beautiful.”
