Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte Matched In Bright Blue For Easter Service With Royals
On Sunday morning, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis headed from Windsor Castle to St George’s Chapel for Easter service. The family was clad in matching shades of blue, with Kate and Charlotte mirroring one another — Kate was in a royal blue coat by Catherine Walker, with a matching hat by Lock and Co. She wore the outfit with a pair of nude pumps.
Charlotte was wearing a floral pattern dress in the same color under her navy coat and a pair of bright blue stockings. The seven-year-old princess was wearing black Mary Jane flats and took off her coat later in the warm weather.
The family held hands as they walked, with the kids checking in on one another during the traditional procession to the holiday service.
In March, Kate shared pics to celebrate Mother’s Day of her playing with the kids, using some outtakes from the family’s Christmas photoshoot, which was done by their favorite photographer, Matt Porteous.
The trio have been making more public appearances as they get older, and there are big expectations around the upcoming coronation of King Charles in May of this year. It’s not clear if the Waleses will be joined by their extended family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, or their children Archie and Lilibet. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were invited, there has not been a formal invitation for their kids.
In January of this year, People shared Harry’s concerns about his niece and nephews from an interview with The Telegraph.
“As I know full well, within my family, if it’s not us, it’s going to be someone else,” he said, pointing to himself. “And though William and I have talked about it once or twice, and he has made it very clear to me that his kids are not my responsibility, I still feel a responsibility knowing that out of those three children, at least one will end up like me, the spare. And that hurts, that worries me.”
But he added that he would “love nothing more” than for his kids to know their cousins.
