Selena Gomez Wore a Sweet, Subtle Tribute to Taylor Swift on Only Murders in the Building Set
Selena Gomez continued her public tributes to her longtime close friend Taylor Swift while on the set of her Hulu show Only Murders in the Building yesterday—only this one was a little more hidden. The actress was snapped wearing an all black outfit: a long coat, cozy hoodie, and sweatpants. If you look closely at the pants, and you’ll see they’re Taylor Swift Eras tour merch. Swift’s tour name appears on the leg.
Gomez also was photographed wearing a two-tone trench while seemingly in character and filming in Washington Heights. Her outerwear game remains as strong as ever:
Gomez’s little sartorial nod to Swift comes just days after Gomez attended Swift’s April 1 Arlington, TX Eras Tour show with her nine-year-old sister Gracie. Gomez dressed up as Swift’s Folklore era, channeling the “cardigan” music video.
Gomez shared her own photo and video from the show on her Instagram, writing to her friend Swift, “Thank you bestie for having me and my sissy transport into your mystical, euphoric and special world. Proud to know you! love you forever and always.”
The weekend before, Gomez appeared in the montage video of celebs paying tribute to Swift for winning the Innovator Award at the iHeartRadioMusic Awards. Gomez said in the video of Swift, “She can represent what she’s walking through so well. She’s a role model. I don’t think that’s something you sign up for; I just think it’s something you inherently have inside of you, and I think that’s Taylor.”
