Gigi Hadid Is Reportedly ‘Smitten’ With ‘Quite Romantic’ Leonardo DiCaprio 2 Months Into Dating

When reports first broke of Leonardo DiCaprio being interested in dating Gigi Hadid at the beginning of September, a source told Us Weekly that Hadid “hasn’t shown an interest. They’re friends, but she doesn’t want to be romantic with [him] right now.” Two months later, that quickly and steadily changed. People is now reporting that Hadid, 27, is “smitten” with DiCaprio, 48, who has done quite the job winning her over.

“Gigi keeps spending time with Leo in NYC,” a source close to Hadid told the outlet. “He is very understanding about her being a mom and works around her schedule to see her—it’s very sweet. Gigi is smitten.” The source added that Hadid hasn’t said too much about the budding romance though: “Gigi shares few details, but she very much enjoys seeing Leo.”

The source described DiCaprio as “a gentleman and quite romantic,” and someone who really prefers to keep “things private” between them, much like Hadid has.

Hadid and DiCaprio were photographed getting dinner over the weekend. A source explained to Entertainment Tonight why Hadid has opted to keep her love story with DiCaprio largely to herself.

“Gigi and Leo have been seeing each other and are very into each other, but Gigi has been trying to keep things low-key with their relationship,” the source said. “They are trying to keep things private and not show too much PDA while out together.”

Hadid’s ex and father’s daughter Zayn Malik is a major factor. Hadid and Malik broke up for good a year ago after nearly six years of on-off dating. “Gigi is trying to be mindful of Zayn’s feelings and doesn’t want to be disrespectful to him with her new relationship,” the source said. “Gigi and Zayn both only want what is best for each other. They are doing their best to have a cordial relationship, be the best parents they can be, and co-parent Khai in a healthy way.”
