A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, she started her career as a lowly intern at Elle Girl (RIP) before joining the editorial departments of InStyle and Bergdorf Goodman. Danielle oversees all beauty coverage at ELLE.com. She was introduced to the art of beauty at a young age via the mas bands that performed at the Trinidad Carnival and hasn’t turned back from pigmented eyeshadows, bold blushes, sequins, and feathers since. Danielle enjoys reporting on many aspects of the industry, including the intersection and the idiosyncrasies of beauty within diverse cultures. She’s committed to disrupting antiquated beauty norms and uplifting all women. When she’s not sashaying down the streets of NYC with her winged eyeliner, Danielle can be spotted at an art exhibit, adventure traveling, or in her hometown thrifting her latest fashion find.

She was previously an editor at HarpersBAZAAR.com and is currently based in Brooklyn. She loves her mom’s disco music collection, coffee ice cream, and keeping her house plants alive.
