Salma Hayek Celebrated Her 56th Birthday In a Hot Red Bikini

On Friday, September 2, actress Salma Hayek celebrated her 56th birthday and generously gifted her fans with a video of the festivities. Hayek apparently spent some of her day cruising on a boat while rocking out to Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday to You.” She was wearing a hot red bikini and a clip of the moment was posted on her Instagram timeline to a grateful audience.

“Happy 56th birthday to me!!! Feliz cumpleaños #56 para mi,” she captioned the joyful moment, hashtagging it #alwaysgrateful.

The comments were full of well-wishes from other celebrities, including Zoe Saldana, Drake, Anthony Hopkins, and Blake Lively. There were also quite a lot of people admiring her bathing suit figure. Hayek’s been asked about her workout routine throughout her life and said in December 2020 to People that she doesn’t really have one, explaining that she doesn’t “have time to exercise,” but she does practice a form of restorative yoga.

“I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long,” said Hayek. “So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles.

She continued, “She taught me to tone my muscles without clenching them…You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have.”

Hayek says she doesn’t “diet” either, but admitted that she often depends on juice cleanses for mental clarity.

“Cleansing is like my meditation,” she claimed. “It makes me stop, focus and think about what I’m putting into my body. I’m making a commitment to my health and hitting the reset button.”
