Taylor Swift Shares Backstage Video of Her Dazzling VMAs Look

Before making an unexpected appearance at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift shared a dazzling transformation video of her look.

In the clip, which she posted on her TikTok, the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer is seen wearing a delicate short-sleeved sundress with an orange floral print. Her straight hair and bangs are down, and she wears minimal makeup with a warm orange lip. As she holds her phone to take the video in front of a mirror, Swift mouths the words to Blackpink‘s hit “Pink Venom” (which the K-pop group performed at the awards show tonight).

Swift then covers the camera with her hand—in a classic TikTok move—and the scene transitions to her in her bedazzled silver Oscar de la Renta minidress.

The pop star was nominated for five awards tonight, Best Video, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, and Best Long Form Video—all for her “All Too Well” short film. She took home the award for Best Long Form Video and delivered a sweet speech, thanking her team and her fans.

For the event—which she attended without longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn—Swift wore a shimmering silver backless minidress that looked to be made up of layers of silver chains, encrusted with clear jewels and pearls. She paired the piece with matching silver strappy heels and Lorraine Schwartz spiky, pear-shaped earrings.
