Meghan Markle’s Close Friend Praises Her as Being ‘Stronger Than She Knows’

Meghan Markle is close friend’s with Argentinian socialite Delfina Blaquier, wife of Nacho Figueras. Figueras is a famous polo player who has had a close friendship with Prince Harry for over 15 years, and the two couples have gotten even closer since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the United States.

On Thursday, August 25, Harry and Figueras were taking part in the annual Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup, an important fundraiser for the charity Harry founded in 2006. Blaquier was in attendance, as was Meghan.

In an interview with HELLO! Blaquier told them that “it is always important to support Sentebale, and to show my husband support.”

When asked about her friendship with Meghan, she added, “She is so wonderful and strong. Stronger than she knows… I love being around my friends, and I will always support her.”

Figueras weighed in with some thoughts about Harry’s relationship with Meghan.

“I have known him for so long and he has always wanted someone to love and marry and have a family with, so it makes me so happy to see them happy and with two beautiful children,” he said.

Meghan just released her first Podcast with Spotify, Archetypes, and this week it was the most-listened-to podcast in six countries, even unseating The Joe Rogan Experience. The theme of the podcast is that it “investigates the labels that try to hold women back.”

The very first episode was an interview with Serena Williams called “The Misconceptions of Ambition.” In their talk, they discussed their ambitions when they were young and what it takes to manage motherhood and a career, all while being in the public eye. Williams discussed her recent decision to retire from playing tennis and focus more on her plans to develop her other businesses.
