Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Kiss and Celebrate First Holi Since Birth of Child

Celebrity couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas shared photos from their celebration of Holi this week on Instagram. The Hindu festival of spring is celebrated around the world, and it’s traditional to throw buckets of colorful cornstarch in the air as a joyful ceremony. The photos show Chopra and Jonas covered in bright dust, smiling and laughing, accompanied by friends and family on a bright, beautiful day.

The 39-year-old actress wrote a message to her followers as well, saying, “To be able to find some joy at a time when the world feels so scary is such a blessing. Happy holi everyone. Thank you to our friends and family for playing holi like desi’s do!”

Both of them wore loose, light-colored and casual clothing. Chopra swept her long, chestnut hair up in a bun, and was bedecked in a collection of silver necklaces with detailed pendants. Jonas wore a short-sleeve buttoned shirt.

The couple welcomed their first child in January, a daughter born via surrogacy. A source told Entertainment Tonight that since their daughter was born, the couple have become homebodies.

“Priyanka and Nick love being new parents and have been spending a lot of downtime at home,” they said. “The two have wanted children for a while and so happy it finally happened. Priyanka and Nick are private but have let close friends and family meet their baby.”

They added that becoming parents was obviously a new experience, but one they were embracing wholeheartedly.

“They are both so happy and settling into parenthood nicely. This is something they’ve both really wanted, so they’re thrilled and appreciative,” they said.
