University Of Lagos Student Accuses Davido Of Refusing To Pay N1million Owed Him For Item Musician Bought From Him Since 2020
A student of the University of Lagos has accused Nigerian Hip-hop artiste, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, of allegedly buying a stuffed dummy at the rate of N1million from him since December 24, 2020 and refusing to pay.
The student, who introduced himself as ‘Mastermindwears’, made the accusation via Instagram on Thursday.
He said the musician told him he could not pay for the item immediately because he had exceeded his transfer limit for the day but promised to offset the bill as soon as possible.
The student disclosed that the artiste had reneged on his promise for over a year and all efforts to get him pay had proven abortive.
He said he had reached out to Davido’s manager and member his team over the issue but had not recorded any success in trying to retrieve his money.
He said a member of Davido’s team tried to deny that the musician ever bought anything from him, prompting the sharing of proof online.
‘Mastermindwears’ shared photos of Davido’s daughter playing with the dummy and also screenshots of videos posted online by the musician’s team with the dummy in the background.
He also shared a threat he claimed was from Davido’s camp trying to shut him up for going public.
He pleaded with the artiste to pay him so that he can settle his needs in school and also take care of his mother.
