Your Guide to the Cast of American Horror Story Season 13

Lange has appeared in American Horror Story across five different seasons—Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, and Apocalypse—and will play all of her past characters in 13, in addition to another character whose identity is being kept secret.
Constance Langdon served as the head matriarch of the “Murder House,” and was mother to Tate (Evan Peters) and Addie Langdon (Jamie Brewer). She returned in Apocalypse, where it’s revealed that she raised Michael—Vivien and Ben Harmon’s son, the actual child of Tate—who ultimately becomes the Antichrist that the Coven witches defeat in Apocalypse. After several exhausting years of raising Michael, Constance kills herself with the hopes of being with all three of her kids; Michael dies in her arms and begs to be a part of the Murder House.
In Asylum, Lange played Sister Jude, who is committed to Briarcliff Manor, the very asylum she ran, after being framed by Sister Mary Eunice (Lily Rabe). She escaped the asylum and lived with Kit (Peters) until her death.
In Coven, Lange played Fiona Goode, the former Supreme who is mother to Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson). She killed Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) for power, and when she tried to sell her soul to Papa Legba, he told her that she is so evil, she has no soul to sell. She died of cancer and ended up in hell with her former lover, The Axeman (Danny Huston).
In Freak Show, Lange played Elsa Mars, the owner of the freak show whose legs were cut off in a snuff film. She sold her show off to Dandy Mott (Finn Wittrock), who killed almost everyone in a rampage. The money allowed her to move to Hollywood so she could fulfill her dreams of becoming a star, but her dreams were cut short when her snuff film got distributed. She killed herself by calling the spirit of Edward Mordrake (Wes Bentley) to her on Halloween night. Instead of going with his army of ghosts, she’s allowed to return to her family of freaks.
