On Saturday night, Chappell Roan performed at the Daisy Chain Fields at Great Park in Irvine, California. In footage of the star singing her massive hit “Good Luck, Babe!” Roan can be seen with a completely new look. Her famous long-flowing mane was transformed for the performance into a sleek and straight bob with a side-swept fringe.
She wore the new hair with a lavender two-piece, featuring a mod miniskirt and cutout crop top with a button-down collar. On her feet, the pop star wore lavender knee-high boots. She did maintain her traditional makeup, with red lips and heavily shadowed eyelids.
Saturday was a big night for surprises. Organizer Olivia Rodrigo welcomed a number of unexpected guests onstage during her set, including Stevie Nicks, who performed “Landslide” with the Sour singer.
She also welcomed Canadian singer Alanis Morissette, who sang “Ironic” with Rodrigo.
And she and Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan honored the late great Dolly Parton with a performance of “In the Arms of an Angel.”
The massive event has raised over $10 million for women’s charities. Rodrigo announced at Saturday’s show that the donations had been matched by Melinda Gates, bringing the amount of money to distribute to $20 million. The funds will go to organizations like Planned Parenthood, Baby2Baby, FreeForm, and the John Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health.
“It’s a real honor to announce that we are donating $10 million to be given directly to these 10 nonprofit partners,” she said to applause. “I’m so excited for tomorrow, I’ll see you guys there.”
