Aquazzura and Net-a-Porter’s New Capsule Is a One-Way Ticket to the French Riviera

“There is no place quite like the French Riviera to celebrate the spirit of summer,” Edgardo Osorio, founder and creative director of Aquazzura, says. It’s no wonder, then, that Osorio chose the Côte d’Azur as the backdrop to celebrate Aquazzura’s exclusive new capsule collection with Net-a-Porter.

Festivities kicked off on July 2 with cocktails as guests then made their way to the legendary Palais Bulles, the whimsical Pierre Cardin-owned estate designed by architect Antti Lovag. Perched above the Mediterranean, the home’s signature rounded forms and sprawling terraces—reflected in the collection’s organic lines and terra-cotta palette—provided a fitting setting for an evening that leaned into the effortless glamour of Riviera summer.

For the occasion, Osorio and Net-a-Porter CEO Heather Kaminetsky welcomed a fashionable guest list including Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Poppy Delevingne, Lady Kitty Spencer, Cindy Bruna, and Princess Alessandra of Hannover, among others. Dinner unfolded against sweeping sea views before the celebration shifted into party mode as DJs Cole Trickle and Baptiste Caffrey kept guests dancing late into the night.

The following day, a seaside brunch at Tétou, the landmark Cannes restaurant and beach club, served as the perfect finale to the stylish celebration.

Throughout the two-day affair, the dress code was unmistakably Riviera: crisp whites, airy caftans, woven and shell-detailed accessories, and sun-soaked glamour, all punctuated by pieces from Aquazzura and Net-a-Porter’s exclusive capsule collection.

Osorio looked to the “light, the color, the sense of joy and ease” of the Côte d’Azur, which manifested in an offering of breezy raffia textures, vibrant seaside hues, and artisanal details. The crystal- and stone-embellished designs, available as sandals and in the brand’s signature 75mm height, were especially popular.

For Osorio, the collaboration was as much about capturing a feeling as it was about designing a collection.

“Partnering with Net-a-Porter on this exclusive capsule felt entirely natural; together we created a collection that captures the carefree elegance of the Côte d’Azur,” the designer said in a statement. “To bring it to life at the Palais Bulles, surrounded by dear friends and looking out over the Mediterranean, was truly magical. It was a celebration of beauty, friendship, and joy, everything Aquazzura stands for.”
