Zendaya’s First Odyssey Press Tour Look Makes This Millennial Shoe Trend Goddess-Worthy
THE RUNDOWN
- Zendaya began her press tour for The Odyssey in New York City on July 1.
- The actress wore a Grecian-esque skirt set from Khaite.
- She paired the sheer look with a corded belt and gladiator heels.
And she’s off! Following the deluge of web-inspired fashion from her Spider-Man press tour, Zendaya has officially kicked off her The Odyssey style run—and already, her first look is positively Olympian.
Spotted in New York City, Zendaya put a Grecian spin on one of the city’s quintessential cool-girl brands, Khaite. The actress wore a subtly sheer look from the brand’s cruise 2027 collection, composed of a plunging, draped blouse and a knee-length kick skirt. The ethereal ensemble felt suited to her The Odyssey character, Athena—as if the goddess of wisdom had traded her armor for a chic downtown wardrobe.
Zendaya and Law Roach carried the Grecian theme down to the very last detail. In place of the actress’s signature Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps, she slipped into a metallic pair of stacked-strap heels from the brand. The sandals nodded to the gladiator sandals that had a chokehold on the 2010s—minus the endless straps snaking up the leg.
To finish the look, Zendaya wore her bob-meets-pixie cut (a.k.a. “bixie”) in soft waves and accessorized with sculptural gold drop earrings.
With The Odyssey press tour just underway—Anne Hathaway is also making her rounds in Grecian wares—consider this the opening chapter of what promises to be another fashion epic from Zendaya and Law.
The only question is: What Grecian-inspired trend will she revive next?
