Why Kylie Jenner Wasn’t With Timothée Chalamet During the Knicks’ Championship Parade
THE RUNDOWN
- Kylie Jenner flew to New York City to be with lifelong New York Knicks fan Timothée Chalamet this week as the basketball team celebrated their NBA Finals victory.
- However, the beauty entrepreneur wasn’t seen with Chalamet at the Knicks’ heavily attended ticker-tape parade or Championship Ceremony.
- The couple was photographed out together in the city the day before.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani threw the New York Knicks their championship ticker-tape parade today, and superfan Timothée Chalamet was part of the festivities. The actor was filmed on his way to the parade solo this morning, wearing an orange hoodie and amping up the crowd:
His girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, wasn’t with him on the float or at the Championship Ceremony at City Hall. Instead, Chalamet was spotted with another special guest: his dad. Fans spotted Marc Chalamet celebrating alongside his son, wearing a light blue Knicks sweatshirt. The father-son duo was even seen en route in a bus together to the parade.
Jenner did, however, fly to New York City to be with Chalamet for the celebratory week; the couple was photographed riding Citi Bikes yesterday.
The beauty entrepreneur has been supporting her partner throughout the Knicks’ playoff run, attending many games with him. They even coordinated outfits at times, making headlines for the matching Chrome Hearts denim sets they wore during Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Jenner has spoken in the past about visiting Chalamet in New York City—and says she enjoys how she has been able to fly under the radar, telling British Vogue in August 2024, “I’ve been walking the High Line” without being recognized.
She broke down the look she wears to avoid attention, explaining that a baseball cap is a key piece. “There’s an angle that you can do where they can’t see your face, and I wear a mask,” she said, adding, “I haven’t had one person notice me [in New York]. I’ve been really able to get around.”
