On Sunday, Kristen Stewart walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of her new film, Full Phil, in which she stars across from Woody Harrelson. Ahead of the special screening, she put on a glamorous display in a Chanel gown made of heavily beaded mesh in red and black.
The sleeveless look formed an organic pattern that ended in a skirt just sweeping the floor. The peekaboo spaces between the beading showed glimpses of her skin and the black panty set underneath. Stewart had her short haircut combed down around her face and wore a bright red lip to match her outfit. On her wrist, she wore a red watch.
Stewart played with showing skin for a photocall on Friday as well, wearing a sheer Chanel mesh suit in white over a nude fabric set. She paired the look with vintage Nike saddle shoe sneakers in black and white, a silver Chanel Lune ring, and sunglasses.
Speaking of her new film, directed by Quentin Dupieux, with Variety, Stewart said she had wanted to work with the French director for a while.
“I love his movies. They just don’t look or feel like anyone else’s, and those are the types of directors that actors are so lucky to be able to follow,” Stewart shared. “He holds the camera at all times. You are with him, connected completely. He knows how he’s going to edit it by the end of the day. If he’s missing a shot, he gets it. He’s beyond an auteur, he’s like a mastermind.”
And she was thrilled to work with Harrelson, who plays her estranged father in the movie.
“As an actor, I just admire him so much and he’s such a nice guy,” the star added.
