Hajia Amina Adam Donates Mathematical Sets To 2026 BECE Candidates In Ayawaso East Constituency

Hajia Amina Adam, widow of the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency, Alhaji Mahama Naser Toure, has donated mathematical sets to candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) across Junior High Schools in the Ayawaso East Constituency.

The gesture coincides with the commencement of this year’s BECE, which began today, Monday, May 4, 2026, and is aimed at ensuring that every candidate in the constituency is equipped with the tools needed to perform at their very best.

The beneficiary schools, which are spread across the Nima, Kanda, and Ring Road East communities within the constituency, include:

  • Nima “1” Primary/JHS
  • Nima “2” Primary/JHS
  • St. Kizito Primary/JHS
  • Institute of Islamic Studies Primary/JHS
  • Qubatal Islamic School
  • Ring Road East “1” Primary/JHS
  • Alwaleed Comprehensive Primary/JHS
  • Islamic Training Institute Primary
  • Kanda Estate “1” Primary/JHS
  • Kanda Estate “5” Primary
  • Kanda A.M.A Primary
  • Nuriya Islamic Primary

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Hajia Amina Adam said the gesture was born out of a deep sense of responsibility to the children of Ayawaso East a responsibility she described as a personal calling and a continuation of the legacy of her late husband, who was widely celebrated for his unwavering commitment to education and the welfare of constituents during his many years of service in Parliament.

She urged the BECE candidates to approach their papers with confidence, hard work, and discipline, reminding them that their success is the greatest tribute they can offer to those who have supported them.

Teachers and school authorities who received the mathematical sets expressed profound appreciation for the timely donation, noting that the items essential for Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Career Technology papers relieve a significant financial burden for many families, particularly in the predominantly low-to-middle income communities of Ayawaso East.

The 2026 BECE, being written by a record 619,985 candidates across the country, will determine placement into Senior High Schools for the 2026–2027 academic year. Under the new Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), students will this year select their preferred Senior High Schools after not before the release of their results, giving them the advantage of making informed choices based on their actual performance.

Hajia Amina Adam’s donation stands as a heartfelt reminder that the spirit of community service in Ayawaso East endures and that the work of developing the constituency’s next generation continues.
