“In designing the show, I began by researching female news anchors and newsroom culture,” Gordon-Crozier wrote on Substack. “I was immediately drawn to the bold, saturated hues traditionally used on-air, rarely prints, almost always monochromatic ensembles with a strong visual.” The six-episode adaptation of Alice Feeney’s 2021 novel has remained one of Netflix’s most-watched series of 2026 and a frequent topic of discussion amongst ELLE staff.

In the Navy
The layered blue look Anna wears to a heated town hall discussion can easily be turned into an office outfit. The simpler the turtleneck, silk blouse, and blazer, the easier they’ll be to mix and match with other professional pieces in your current closet.
According to Gordon-Crozier, the blue tones featured in earlier episodes of His & Hers signify “emotional restraint, melancholy, and introspection, a visual expression of Anna’s sadness and guarded inner life.”
Teal Thrills
The teal Argent Soho trousers worn in the opening scene would be a wise addition to any work wardrobe, instantly appearing refined with a silky button-up. Top off the pairing with a tonal trench and the chunky Heaven Mayhem Wind earrings seen throughout the series.
Green Machine
Anna’s exact silk Vince blouse is low in stock, and what’s left will go fast given the show’s continued popularity. Styled with retro pumps and earrings, Argent’s silk separates and a fitted Mango blazer give the same effect as the vintage Ralph Lauren leather jacket and sold-out Essential Antwerp silk shell worn during pivotal scenes.
Tangerine Dream
“As the story progresses, [Anna’s] palette expands across the spectrum, moving through most colors of the rainbow and ultimately landing in orange: a warm, sunlit hue used deliberately for its emotional and narrative resonance,” explains Gordon-Crozier. With spring fast approaching, a bold color choice like Anna’s Dries Van Noten dress can brighten a grey, dreary day.
A Bit of Wine
The burgundy leather jacket Anna wears in the penultimate scene is rumored to be a surprisingly affordable Zara blazer. Though long sold out, we’ve found a similarly priced option from Levi’s.
