On Wednesday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry brought their children, six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet, to a special Thanksgiving event at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles. The couple partnered that day with OBKLA through their nonprofit, the Archewell Foundation.
Per a press release, the two organizations made meals for the holiday weekend that “will reach local schools, shelters, senior centers, and other community organizations serving our neighbors in need.”
In her Instagram Stories, the Duchess of Sussex shared images of herself and Harry cooking, as well as some shots of the kids wearing black baseball caps to cover their faces. Lili can be seen holding her mom’s hand and wearing a red and green plaid dress with a black bow at the waist, her red hair in a braid down her back.
Meghan was wearing a gray sleeveless top and a black Archewell Foundation apron with a white baseball cap. Harry wore a three quarter zip blue cardigan over a gray shirt. Over all her images, Meghan wrote the simple message, “Show up, do good,” with a link to the foundation’s website.
Last week, the newsletter for her As Ever brand discussed the duchess’s prep for Thanksgiving at her home in Montecito, California, with the kids.
“When it comes to our founder’s favorites, the delicate, herbaceous flavor of sage ranks high on the list,” the newsletter read, according to People. “Why, you ask? Well, those photos you’ve seen this year on our Instagram of Meghan walking through what seems like lavender, with its gorgeous purple hue, actually share the beauty of flowering sage (Fun fact: the varietal is called Santa Barbara).”
The newsletter continued, “Those strolls, with Archie and Lili running in tow, her husband checking on the bees, Pula chasing the ball with Mia trying to keep up—those were the sun-drenched moments that made an everyday walk something a bit more magical. And that sage, that purple, that scent around the garden, was always there in the background.”
