Stop sucking breasts during intimacy to avoid stasis of milk inside — Retired nurse urges men

A retired nurse at the Miracle Life Hospital in Ho, Madam Victoria Agbedanu, has cautioned men against continuous sucking of breasts during intimacy, saying it stimulates hormones and could have adverse health effects.
She explained that excessive sucking can stimulate the mammary glands and hormones such as progesterone and oestrogen to produce milk, which if retained in the breast, could cause complications.
“In this month of October, men should get to know that it is not necessary to suck the breasts. They shouldn’t be sucking it. They can just massage it a little. If they want to make love, they shouldn’t suck it hard,” she explained.

“To me, I feel when you continue sucking the breasts, you can stimulate the hormones, the mammary glands and the hormones, the progesterone and the oestrogens, to work so that they will produce milk. And if the milk stays there and becomes stagnant, it can cause something else. So they shouldn’t do that to avoid stasis of milk inside the breast. They can just feel the breast gently for love purposes only,” she added.
Madam Agbedanu gave the advice during a two-day breast cancer screening exercise held at the Miracle Life Hospital in Ho, which she described as very successful and important.
“I think this programme is a successful one because it is very, very important to have this breast examination. Breast cancer is spreading so much, destroying lives. So it is good we educate people so that they will become aware and lives will be saved,” she said.
She expressed happiness about the high turnout, noting that both young and old, including men, participated actively in the education and screening exercise.
“They all came, even men came. Looking at today, most of the youth came in their numbers. The elderly too came. So they all participated very well,” she said, adding that those found with issues were counselled and referred for further treatment.
Madam Agbedanu disclosed that the hospital has taken contacts of participants for follow-up and plans to repeat the exercise in the next three to four months due to the huge public interest.
She urged the public to continuous self-breast examination and public education to prevent needless deaths from breast cancer.
“To the general public, I will say they have done well, so they should continue to self-examine their breasts as we have taught them. They should continue assessing themselves, doing self-examination and educating others so that everybody will be aware. We don’t want to lose even a single life through breast cancer anymore. They should be careful about their lifestyle so that things will move on well in their lives,” she advised.
