Kylie Jenner is taking her career to the next level.

The reality star and beauty mogul is set to star in and executive produce Bachelorette Weekend, a new thriller drama in the works at Hulu, Deadline reported on October 5. The project would mark Jenner’s first major scripted role—and her sister Kim Kardashian is helping bring it to the screen. Here’s what to know.

What’s Jenner’s role in Bachelorette Weekend?

Jenner will play a bride whose bachelorette trip takes a deadly turn when she is found murdered in a swimming pool. Her closest friends quickly become suspects, and the series will retrace the events leading up to her death. Deadline described Jenner’s character as the story’s “North Star.”

Who else is involved in the project?

Bachelorette Weekend, which is currently a working title, was created by author and screenwriter Lauren Oliver and is based on an unpublished novel by Flora Collins. Oliver wrote the television adaptation, which was developed by Kapital Entertainment. Jenner, Kardashian, Oliver, and Aaron Kaplan are executive producing, while Jaiden Kaplan will serve as co-executive producer.

According to Deadline, the script was initially sent to Kardashian, who thought the project could be a good starring vehicle for her younger sister and shared it with her.

No other casting announcements have been made yet.

What has Jenner said about diving into acting?

The role represents a significant step into acting for Jenner, who has recently been experimenting with scripted work. She makes a cameo in Charli XCX’s A24 film The Moment, and in an August 2026 interview with Who What Wear, Jenner revealed that she had been considering what she wanted to take on next.

“I haven’t found the right thing yet,” she said at the time. “There were two scripts that came to me that I passed on. But I read something recently that I’m kind of interested in—the best I’ve felt about something so far. It’s just a pilot; it hasn’t been picked up yet.”

Jenner did not identify that project, but explained that she was being selective about committing to a larger acting role.

“I’m feeling more precious about what I do next because I want to make sure it’s the right fit, especially if I’m going to do something major and have to travel and be away from my kids,” she continued. “I want to make sure it feels right.”

She had already gotten a taste of the process while filming The Moment. Jenner told the outlet that she called Kardashian for advice after receiving the script because she was nervous about taking the part. She ultimately rehearsed with friends before filming and even began improvising on set.

Jenner also tested herself in front of a larger production while shooting her King Kylie campaign for Dunkin’ earlier this year. “I’ve never seen more people in a studio before,” she said. “I was so nervous, but it was a test for myself to see if I could do this or not. Like, can I act in front of all these people? And it was great. So now, I’m like, Okay, I am good to go.”
