H&M and Elie Saab Toast Their Collection With Top Models—and a Surprise Bridal Moment
H&M is keeping its star-studded fashion month going. After its megawatt runway show at London Fashion Week, the Swedish brand has landed in Paris to fête the launch of its latest collaboration with Lebanese designer Elie Saab. And fête they did.
Last night, guests gathered at the Palais Brongniart, a former 19th-century stock exchange, to toast the collection. Joining Saab and H&M creative advisor Ann-Sofie Johansson were a host of familiar faces and top models, including Anok Yai, Amelia Gray, Iris Law, Imaan Hammam, and Lila Moss—all before the week fully kicks into gear.
Inside, guests got a preview of the collection’s sharp tailoring, lacy separates, embellished gowns, and accessories. The biggest surprise arrived during Robin S’s performance. As she crooned “Show Me Love,” a model emerged from the crowd in a mermaid-style bridal gown and hand-embroidered veil.
The frothy design, which will be available for purchase, nods to Saab’s decades in bridalwear and his instinct for a statement-making gown. Over the years, his romantic, intricately embellished designs have been worn by stars including Zendaya, Beyoncé, and Gwyneth Paltrow on fashion’s biggest red carpets.
Available online and in select stores on October 22, the 55-piece collection places Saab’s signatures like gradient sequins, lace embroidery, and faux fur alongside everyday pieces in a midnight palette of black, gold, and emerald. Highlights include a green-to-black strapless gown with intricate ruching, a fully sequined peplum bustier top, and a funnel neck jacket in rich chocolate brown leather.
“Paris has always been very close to my heart, so it felt natural to celebrate this collection here, especially when so many people from the fashion world are in the city,” Saab said in a statement. “[This] is a collaboration that is very meaningful to me, and I am pleased to share it with friends and those who have been following my journey.”
