Exclusive: Jisoo’s New Salomon Campaign Brings Fashion’s Favorite Sneakers Into Winter
You don’t have to be particularly sneaker-obsessed to have noticed Salomons everywhere lately. What began as a technical shoe for hiking has steadily made its way onto city sidewalks and into the wardrobes of style stars, who probably know the struggle of tracking down a sold-out colorway. (If you know, you know.)
Jisoo certainly does. The Blackpink singer and Salomon global ambassador is fronting the brand’s new fall/winter 2026 campaign, “In the Open,” and ELLE has an exclusive first look. Shot in South Korea, the photos highlight Salomon’s ethos, where performance and fashion meet.
“I naturally prefer light and comfortable movement in my everyday life, so I feel that Salomon is a great fit for me because it provides comfort regardless of the weather or environment,” Jisoo says in a statement. “I love how versatile Salomon footwear is, making it suitable for both everyday wear and outdoor activities.”
This marks Jisoo’s first global campaign for the brand since becoming an ambassador earlier this year, and the pairing puts a polished spin on Salomon’s gear-focused DNA.
The capsule itself consists of three silhouettes built to tackle winter weather without compromising your look: the XT-6 Protective, XT-Whisper Gore-Tex, and XT-4 OG Gore-Tex.
That intersection between urban life and the outdoors runs throughout the campaign, too. Rather than treating the two as separate worlds, Salomon photographs Jisoo where they quite literally meet, with a wild, grassy landscape set against a hazy city skyline.
For Jisoo, Seoul is fitting territory. She recently described being home in the city as a chance to relax, telling Interview that some of her favorite ways to spend her time there are quite low-key: “I like going to good restaurants, finding little cafés, or just going around and listening to music. Sometimes doing nothing is actually my favorite thing to do,” she says.
Salomon fall/winter 2026 “In the Open” capsule launches globally on October 7 at salomon.com.
