Cyber Security Authority boss Divine Agbeti earns PhD from University of Glasgow

The Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Dr. Divine Selase Agbeti, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom.

The CSA announced the achievement in a congratulatory message celebrating Dr. Agbeti’s successful completion of his doctoral studies.

The Authority described the academic milestone as a significant achievement for its Director-General and extended its congratulations to him.

A commemorative portrait of Dr. Agbeti was also shared by the CSA to mark the occasion and celebrate his latest academic accomplishment.

Dr. Agbeti’s attainment of the PhD adds to his professional credentials at a time when Ghana continues to strengthen efforts to improve cybersecurity, combat cybercrime and enhance digital resilience.

His academic achievement has also been welcomed by staff of the CSA, industry stakeholders and members of the wider cybersecurity community, who have congratulated him on completing his doctoral programme.

The University of Glasgow, established in 1451, is one of the world’s oldest research-intensive universities. Dr. Agbeti’s successful completion of his PhD at the institution represents another milestone in his academic and professional development.

The CSA said the achievement further strengthens the expertise of its leadership as the Authority continues to play its role in Ghana’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

Dr. Agbeti is expected to continue contributing to innovation and strategic policy development in the country’s cybersecurity sector in his capacity as Director-General.
