Quenlin Blackwell Gets Ready for Tommy Hilfiger’s Very Preppy NYFW Show
1 min readTommy Hilfiger was in a ’90s mood for spring 2027, and Quenlin Blackwell came ready for the occasion.
Ahead of the show at the Plaza yesterday, Blackwell went for a particularly playful take on prep. She paired an oversize red-and-navy rugby with a white button-down, tiny denim shorts, and white pointed-toe pumps. The heels were the curveball, adding a dressed-up finish to an otherwise sporty, collegiate combination. Between the rugby stripes and red, white, and blue palette, there was no mistaking whose show she was headed to.
As for the collection itself, Hilfiger brought back the rugby shirts, sailing jackets, plaid, and primary hues synonymous with the brand’s ’90s era, but with a modern upgrade. The silhouettes were looser and the styling a little more undone—the opposite of the neat, tucked-in prep you might expect.
For the setting, Hilfiger returned somewhere even more familiar: the Plaza, where he once lived for 10 years. Kate Moss, Camila Cabello, Jisoo, and more filled the front row as Gigi Hadid opened the show, Romeo Beckham closed, and Slayyyter took over for a surprise performance at the end.
The Tommy show was only the first stop of the day. That night, Blackwell was off to Kering’s star-studded Caring for Women dinner, swapping her oversize rugby and denim shorts for a sleek black dress with a plunging neckline and embellished straps.
