On Friday, Justin Trudeau tied a bow around summer with an Instagram carousel showing how he’d spent the very “special” season. It included a photo of his girlfriend, pop star Katy Perry, as well as some other very special cameos.
In the picture with Perry, the former Canadian prime minister is wearing a white T-shirt and holding a beer. Perry is wearing a white halter top and also clutching a pint. The couple smiles at the camera, looking happy and relaxed.
In the caption, Trudeau wrote, “Grateful for the moments that made this summer so special, and for the people I got to share them with.”
Elsewhere in the post, Trudeau shared pictures of time spent with his kids, at special events, and in one picture, with Barack and Michelle Obama.
Perry and Trudeau have been together for just over a year, after first being linked in July 2025. At the time, they were seen grabbing dinner together in Montreal as Perry’s music tour passed through the city. They have since become Instagram official and walked several red carpets together.
This year at the Tribeca Festival, Perry premiered her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour, where she told People, “I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love. And actually, that show was after I met the love of my life and so I felt very anchored by that because I’m a little bit like a rainbow kite.”
The singer was formerly partnered with actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares her daughter Daisy.
