Prince George became a teenager today, and his parents, Kate Middleton and Prince William, celebrated with more than just a birthday portrait. Hours after sharing the new photo of their eldest child, they posted a video of him outdoors to celebrate his 13th year. His younger brother, Prince Louis, also appears with him in the footage as they enjoy nature. The clip marks a very rare look at their lives away from public events.
“Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!????” Kate and William wrote.

In June, Kensington Palace announced that George will attend Eton College in September. His father, Prince William, and uncle Prince Harry also went to the elite private boarding school for boys.
Shortly after the news was shared, a source close to the family told People, “George has always wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps.”
George has been making more event appearances this year. He and his sister, Princess Charlotte, recently joined their parents at Wimbledon for the men’s singles finals.
Very little has come out about George’s personality as Kate and William have worked to give their children as normal and private an upbringing as possible amid their royal roles. Last month though, People wrote that “friends and observers have described him as thoughtful and serious.”
Kate also shared a little about George’s hobbies in June. During her visit to the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, she stopped in the music therapy room and discussed what kind of music her children prefer. “George wants more rock,” she said. “He loves AC/DC; he plays the guitar.”
