The Princess Of Wales Wears Blush Roland Mouret For First Royal Wedding Of The Year
The Royal Family were out in force this weekend for the wedding of the King’s cousin, Peter Phillips, and his girlfriend of two years, Harriet Sperling. The happy couple tied the knot in a quintessentially English countryside wedding, with a church ceremony at All Saints Church, Kemble, Cirencester, with guests thought to be attending a reception at the groom’s mother Princess Anne’s home, the nearby Gatcombe Park.
The bride looked beautiful in an ivory dress with lace high neck and long sleeve detail, accessorised with a floor-length veil, all by Emilia Wickstead. She wore a tiara, though not one from her mother-in-law’s collection, by the jewellery house Pragnell. Harriet’s daughter, Georgina, and Peter’s daughters Isla and Savannah, were all bridesmaids, wearing matching high-neck ivory dresses.
Harriet is quickly becoming a new fashion favourite amongst the royals, favouring British brands like Me+Em, Wiggy Kit, St Clair and Beulah – much like her new husband’s cousin-in-law, the Princess of Wales.
The couple first met in 2024, making their public debut at Badminton Horse Trails. They became engaged in August 2025. It is the second marriage for them both, with Peter married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 to 2021, and Harriet previously married to fitness trainer Antonio St John Sperling.
The Princess of Wales was amongst the most stylish guests, looking as chic as ever in a Roland Mouret skirt suit in blush. It’s a slight departure; the royal often turns to Alexander McQueen for her wedding looks – not only did she wear a bespoke design by the fashion house for her own wedding in 2011, but also for the weddings of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and her sister Pippa Middleton to James Matthews. However, pale pink is usually her go-to colour, and she often turns to tailored dress coats – a must in our temperamental British climate.
Others in attendance from the Royal Family included the King, Queen Camilla, Prince Edward, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Beatrice and of course Peter’s mother Princess Anne and sister Zara Tindall. So too was Peter’s ex-wife Autumn, highlighting the friendliness of their split.
The last royal wedding was that of Princess Beatrice, which was an intimate, small affair at Windsor Castle due to the Covid-19 restrictions at the time.
