And the night got even better when Moura took home the award, marking the first time in Golden Globes history that a Brazilian actor won in the category.

He and Delgado have been together for decades, but have managed to keep many of their personal details private. In fact, it’s not entirely clear if they are legally married. In December 2025, the Los Angeles Times referred to her as his wife, but according to Cosmopolitan, she calls him her “partner” on social media.

Here’s what is known about Sandra Delgado and her long partnership with the award-winning actor so far.

Who is Sandra Delgado?

Like her partner, Sandra Delgado is a creative who works in the entertainment industry. She is primarily a photographer but also has many credits as a documentary filmmaker and screenwriter. Per her biography for non-profit storytelling lab Cine Qua Non Lab, Delgado was born and raised in Brazil and now lives between Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles. According to her website, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Communication and Journalism from Universidade Federal da Bahia and has a master’s in photography and social sciences from UCAM in Rio de Janeiro.

Delgado has a vivid artistic life, studying screenwriting at the University of California, working as a photographer and editor for Coletivo Viva Favela, and creating installations featured at various art festivals. In 2015, she created and directed her own documentary series Terceiro Sinal, and in 2025, she wrote the Disney+ historical drama series Maria Bonita or Maria: The Outlaw Legend.

“Before college, I mainly worked with photography, but since then I have expanded my range to include video, audio, projection and installation, using my documentary background,” Delgado said in a statement about her work. “My main search as an artist is the understanding of continuity and finitude. In one hand, I’m interested in understanding the impact of time in our bodies, minds, culture, nature and matter.”

In September 2025, Variety announced her debut fiction feature, The Outsider, about the life of Claudia Andujar. Andujar survived the Holocaust then became a photographer focused on supporting marginalized populations in Brazil and defending Indigenous lands.

Delgado stated that she had an “affection” for Andujar and “a profound admiration for her work.”

“My hope is that this film introduces audiences to the life journey, art, and activism of Claudia Andujar, while offering a critical lens on the devastating consequences of predatory development in Brazil,” she shared.

Moura has a small role in the project and is executive producing.

Do they have any children?

The couple shares three children. In a 2025 conversation with Interview, Wagner stated that his kids are “now 19, 15, and 13” and that he is preparing “for them to go do their thing, go to college, and I don’t know what I’m going to do.”

“This has been an impossible balance,” he said of managing his career and fatherhood. “I came to realize that because I’ve tried to bring them with me. I’ve tried to go back all the time. I’ve tried everything. It was very heartbreaking when I’d go back home and see they grew up. But also it’s beautiful to see their understanding of it.”

He continued, “I was doing the play, and I spent two weeks with them in L.A. and then I started doing these trips, and I was like, ‘Guys, I’m sorry, I have to go.’ And they were like, ‘Hey man, I get it. This is what you do.’”

On the night of winning a Golden Globe award, he told Vanity Fair that the most important part of his life was his family.

“I’ve been doing this for so long. I’ve been through so many ups and downs in my life,” he said. “I know what’s true and what’s not. This is a great moment of attention, but in two, three months, what will really matter is the way I’m going to pick up my kids at school.”
