Hours after Cardi B sparked speculation on Super Bowl Sunday that she and New England Patriots player Stefon Diggs had split, Entertainment Tonight confirmed that the two stars are no longer together.
“Cardi and Stefon recently broke up, but it’s possible they get back together, and this could just be for right now,” a source told the outlet. “She is focused on her upcoming tour and family while figuring out their next steps.”
Cardi welcomed her first child with Diggs in November; the two first sparked dating rumors a little over a year before in October 2024.
Fans began to suspect Cardi and Diggs, who played in last night’s Super Bowl, had broken up when Cardi was asked at Saturday’s Fanatics pregame party if she had an inspiring message for her partner ahead of the game. She responded with a flat “good luck” before walking away.
She and Diggs also drew attention for unfollowing each other once the Super Bowl ended.

The source didn’t indicate exactly when Cardi and Diggs broke up. But it was likely within the last week, as the football player teased that engagement was on the table for him and Cardi on February 2. He was asked by reporters, “After you get your [Super Bowl] ring, is Cardi getting her ring?”
Diggs replied, “It’s on the agenda, maybe, right? I gotta get mine first, though.”
Diggs didn’t ultimately get his ring; the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks 13 to 29 last night.
