We Predict These Fashion Trends Will Reign All of 2026

With all due respect to January—with its feelings of new beginnings and fresh starts—I’ve come to see it as a bit of a throwaway month. The weeks seem to go by in a blur of staying at home, cozied up in chic loungewear, and recovering from the holiday-season festivities with as much comfort as one can get. For those of us in New York City, that seemed to be especially the case after the first major snowstorm we’ve had in a while.

Well, the first month of 2026 is now in the past, which means that, if you’re anything like me, you have a new lease on life at the start of February. I’m playing with my makeup and wearing my jewelry—and, of course, I’m experimenting with my sartorial choices rather than depending on my capsule wardrobe to do the heavy lifting. And with that, I’m (finally) embracing the best 2026 fashion trends; perhaps you are too.

Ahead, see and shop the trends you’ll be seeing all year long.

Ferragamo spring/summer 2026

After seeing the spring/summer 2026 runway shows last season, I’ve been convinced that the romantic appeal is sticking around for a while—and now that the world has seen Chanel’s 2026 couture show, my suspicions have been confirmed. Bringing a softer side to the fashion world, lace and silk will continue to dominate, no matter the season.

Loewe spring/summer 2026

Has tenniscore reached its peak? I think not (I’m also a biased tennis player), but it seems that the athletic aesthetic has taken on a new shape. Instead of the pristine whites often seen at the likes of Wimbledon, this year will be chock-full of vibrant hues reminiscent of the ’80s.

Per a conversation I had with a fellow fashion editor quite literally 10 minutes before writing this, vibrant color combinations will reign supreme this year. While I might not be suited for the trending shade of chartreuse (it doesn’t mesh well with my skin tone), I’m eager to start wearing modern takes on blue, red, and yellow—as well as other juicy hues—to add some pops of color to my otherwise neutral ensembles.

Those of you who love texture will be delighted to know that fringe is going to be everywhere for 2026. Not only will it create undeniable visual intrigue, but whenever you’re moving and grooving, well, let’s just say you’ll be the drama.
