Bad Bunny had a big night at the Grammys, making history as the first artist with an all-Spanish album to win the prestigious Album of the Year award. While his heartfelt, mostly Spanish acceptance speech made headlines, fans also latched onto one celeb’s reaction in the crowd. The camera panned to Sabrina Carpenter during his remarks as the singer licked her lips watching him:

Earlier that night, the two stars, who have worked together in the past, caught up during a commercial break:

They are also both publicly single and have spoken in interviews about their desire to keep their personal lives private.

In September 2024, Carpenter told W magazine that she isn’t trying to put her love life up for public discussion. “I get why people are interested,” she admitted. “But they can listen to my album and decide for themselves what the songs are about.”

Earlier that year, she was more open about her approach to dating with Cosmopolitan, saying, “A lot of it, for me, has been fate. I know that’s super broad, but I don’t actively look for it. The relationships that I actually want to put my energy into have to be so interesting or invigorating because they take me away from the other things I love. So yeah, it’s fun and it’s messy. I think I’m still just at this place where I’m really enjoying the newness of all of it.” She has been more reserved about her love life since.

Bad Bunny, meanwhile, sparked engagement rumors at the Grammys when fans spotted a Cartier diamond ring on his left ring finger. A source shut down that speculation on Monday, telling TMZ that the rapper isn’t dating anyone currently. The ring was just a gift he wore as a statement piece.

In 2023, Bad Bunny told Vanity Fair that he was “not interested” in publicly speaking about his love life amid speculation that he was dating Kendall Jenner at the time. “I’m not really interested in clarifying anything because I have no commitment to clarify anything to anyone,” he said.

At the beginning of 2025, he shut down the notion that his song “DtMF” was about Jenner following their breakup, saying his inspiration for music is more nuanced. “I have written songs inspired by people that people don’t have a fucking clue who they are,” he told Time in January 2025. “The meaning of the song can vary in many things, like the absence of a person who is no longer with you, or a love. But it can be many other things too, that are no longer there.”
