Ahead of Taylor Swift’s appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert this evening, the singer returned to New York City after spending Sunday watching her fiancé Travis Kelce’s football game with Selena Gomez in Kansas City, Missouri.
Swift enjoyed dinner out at Chez Margaux with her longtime friend Este Haim. The star bundled up in a little black Louis Vuitton duffle coat (one that retails for $6,400), which she paired with sheer tights, a Prada shoulder bag, and Louis Vuitton knee-high boots.
The star will be releasing the first two episodes of her highly anticipated Eras Tour docuseries on Disney+ this Friday, along with a concert film of her final Eras Tour show. One day later, she’ll celebrate her 36th birthday. Swift hasn’t revealed her birthday plans, but she reportedly spent the day last year with Kelce in Kansas City.
The couple of over two years got engaged this summer. In late October, a source told Us Weekly that plans for their wedding are “coming along. They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help.”
The insider added that they hope to have their ceremony next summer: “They don’t want a long engagement. [They] very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.”
Swift recently sang on the Life of a Showgirl track “Wi$h Li$t” about her dream of settling down with Kelce. Its chorus goes: “I just want you / Have a couple kids / Got the whole block looking like you / We tell the world to leave us the fuck alone…and they do / Wow / Got me dreaming ’bout a driveway / with a basketball hoop / Boss up, settle down.”
In October, she told Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe that Kelce inspired the song—and changed how she saw her future. “When I met Travis, I started to feel a little bit like I could be a person who could have romantic whims and have these dreams,” she said, noting the song “gets very sincere in the chorus.”
She added, “I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie Happy Gilmore, but he has this happy place where he goes into this utopia of this is exactly what he would want, and this is where he escapes to mentally in times of stress, pressure, anxiety, or chaos. And that chorus of that song is me just describing what my happy place is.”
