Late last week, it was revealed that Chris Evans and Alba Baptista welcomed a baby girl, Alma Grace, on October 24. A source speaking with People this weekend says that Evans is reveling in being a “girl dad.”
“Chris is completely in awe of his daughter,” said the insider. “He’s been soaking in every quiet moment and couldn’t be more proud to be a girl dad.”
Another source stated, “They’re enjoying their privacy and these special first few days as a family with their baby.”
In 2022, Evans told People he hoped to be a father someday.
“That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family,” he shared. “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared.”
He added, “So it’s also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. I had a lot of that in my life, so the idea of creating that—I can’t think of anything better.”
It was reported that the couple was dating by People in November 2022 and had been for about a year.
“It’s serious,” a source said said at the time. “They are in love, and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”
They were married in September 2023.
