Inside Chantecaille’s Most Innovative Eye Cream Yet

Chantecaille helped revolutionize the beauty industry as a pioneer of skin care and cosmetics rooted in both botanicals and science. Twenty-five years later, the brand remains as innovative as ever. A prime example: the new Bio Lifting Eye Cream, a powerhouse that delivers impressive visible results in four weeks. The cream is an expansion of the Bio Lifting collection, a series of award-winning formulas that target multiple signs of aging, including lines, dehydration, and loss of firmness, providing smooth, supple, and restored skin.

As a longtime fan of the range, I couldn’t wait to dive into the chic little glass jar. I demand a lot from my eye cream—it can’t just be a moisturizer in disguise— so in addition to incorporating it into my fall rotation, I wanted to take a closer look into what exactly makes the formula so next-level. Here’s what I discovered.

The Ingredients

The entire Bio Lifting collection is powered by potent botanicals, unique peptides, and efficacious plant stem-cell extracts. The eye cream, made from 95 percent natural origin ingredients, is by no means an exception: Among the ingredient heroes are a fast-acting hyaluronic acid to minimize the look of fine lines, and a recharging botanical sugar that targets expression lines.

There’s also a tetrapeptide, a powerful depuffer, as well as a hexapeptide that visibly reduces the depth of wrinkles and helps improve elasticity. Finally, the formula features a botanical blend of white flowers, which give the eye a lifted look and fade the appearance of under-eye dark circles. As a beauty editor who has tried countless lackluster formulas, consider me impressed: Whatever concern you’re looking to address or area around the eye you’re targeting, this cream is at the ready.

The Results

Ingredients are interesting, but at the end of the day, I look for results. Chantecaille comes through as always: In a clinical trial of 35 women, the Bio Lifting Eye Cream was shown to have an immediate tensing effect to visibly lift and tighten as well as improve elasticity in just four weeks. In four more, the formula helped make under-eye wrinkles less visible, and 84 percent of the women said their entire eye area looked firmer and their eye bags appeared less visible with prolonged use.

The Experience

Fall is a key time of year to transition your skin-care routine; the cooler, drier air strips skin of its natural moisture, making nourishing, anti-aging products all the more important. A fresh jar of eye cream is always one of the first products I look for during this time. My criteria? A rich—but not cloying—texture, effective ingredients, and, of course, results I can see.

Upon twisting open the jar, my first impression was that the texture looked and felt just right. It’s rich and creamy, but when applied the cream feels lightweight—not like it’s just sitting on the surface of my skin. I appreciate that the jar comes with a baton applicator, a touch that makes the product feel extra-luxe. Morning and night, I use the flat side to scoop a pea-size amount and place it on my skin and the rounded side to massage it in (which feels lovely, by the way).

So far, its effect on my skin’s moisture levels has been noteworthy; even though it’s absorbed quickly, my under-eye area looks smooth and hydrated around the clock. My under-eye dark circles also appear brighter, and I find that in general, I just look more awake. Overall, the formula checks all of my boxes.

With its science-backed natural ingredients, proven results, and thoughtfully elevated packaging, the Bio Lifting Eye Cream is a fitting launch for a milestone year.
