“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.” The last line translates to: “Go tell your grandmother that we will be at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.”
He announced the news with a promo video posted to social media, captioned: “Super Bowl LX. Bay Area. February 2026.”
He also tweeted, “Estuve pensando en estos días, y luego de hablarlo con mi equipo, creo que haré una sola fecha en Estados Unidos.” (“I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States.”) This comment refers to his previous decision to skip touring in the U.S. amid ongoing ICE raids.
In an interview with Apple Music, Bad Bunny elaborated on what this moment means to him. “I’m really excited,” he shared, “This is making me feel so happy because more than me, [it’s] for everyone else.
