Jamie Foxx’s Complete Dating History

Actor Jamie Foxx has two children and has enjoyed a number of serious relationships, but he tends to keep his dating life private, with the exception of his thoughts on marriage. In his 2021 memoir Act Like You Got Some Sense, Foxx admitted that he does not think he’s a man who will settle down.

“I just don’t think I’m the marrying type,” Foxx wrote. “I’ve just never been convinced that marriage was a good idea for me. I’ve had friends that have great marriages, others not so much. And it never seemed like marriage was necessary to raise my children in a safe and loving atmosphere.”

That same year, he did tell Men’s Health that his marriage stance doesn’t mean he hates commitment, saying, “Weirdly, though, if I’m in a relationship that I really dig…I’m good.”

Here’s everything to know about Jamie Foxx’s dating history so far.

Connie Kline

Foxx dated U.S. Air Force veteran Connie Kline in 1993. The former couple share a daughter, Corinne, born on Feb. 15, 1994. Very little is known about Kline, and it seems like both Foxx and Corinne try to preserve her privacy, though her daughter did celebrate Kline on Veteran’s Day in 2016.

In 2023, the Daily Mail shared some photos of her while she was out shopping in the Simi Valley, and a source claimed, “He [Foxx] looks after her well. They get on together, and they have an agreement. It is a mutual thing, and they get on well.”

The pair supposedly has a good co-parenting relationship even if their romance didn’t last long. In 2021, Foxx told E!’s Daily Pop, “Growing up, Corinne was like, ‘Well, people are married, and that’s what they have, my friends.’ But then a lot of those marriages ended up not doing well as the kids got older.”

He continued, “Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractures from their families. Us, we actually came together more. So I don’t know what that is, I just know that it is different, but it’s a whole lot of love.”

Though Kline has stayed out of the spotlight, Corinne has gotten into entertainment as she’s grown up. In 2021, she even wrote and executive produced Netflix’s Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! based on her life with Foxx.

“So we had all these moments of just funny tension throughout our life,” Corinne told Backstage of the one-season project. “And we thought, ‘Why don’t we take these stories and turn them into episodes of a TV show?’”

While promoting the show, Corinne shared her thoughts on Foxx as a father with CBS This Morning: Saturday, saying, “A-plus…He thinks the world of us, and we can feel it. And that’s really powerful for a young girl to grow up and have such a strong father figure in her life.”

Leila Arcieri

Arcieri dated Foxx between 2004 and 2005, but he never discussed the relationship much. She did attend some high-profile events with him, including the premiere of his music biopic Ray and the Golden Globes. He told People of their relationship, “I know she digs me because she was there when I was just trying to figure out how to get from point A to point B.”

There’s no information on why they split.

Kristin Grannis

Foxx dated Kristin Grannis briefly in 2008, when she was working in PR, according to She Knows. They welcomed their daughter, Anelise, on Oct. 3, 2008. Like Cline, Grannis has mostly kept her life private, but has reportedly gone on to work as a marriage and family therapist. They seemingly have a friendly relationship and were even photographed out together in Los Angeles in August 2023.

The actor is also quite close with his younger daughter, and she frequently attends events and big red carpet moments with him.

In November 2018, he bragged about how Anelise was “killing it” at football while on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

“She’s playing football with all the boys,” he gushed. “She’s playing flag football, and she’s the only girl in the league…When she got on the football field, at first they didn’t want to throw it to her. But I said, ‘Anelise, when you’re out, do like this,’ Foxx said, waving his hands.

He continued, “She waved her hands and they threw it to her, and she hit for like a 60-yarder. It was crazy.”

Katie Holmes

Actress Katie Holmes dated Foxx for about six years, from 2013 to 2019. They were extremely private about their relationship aside from appearing at a couple of events together, never commenting on it officially except to deny there was any romance between them. Foxx told Entertainment Tonight in October 2023 that the rumors were “one hundred percent not true.”

In 2015, a source told People that they were indeed dating, but it was casual.

“This is not some intense romance,” a source said. “Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn. But contrary to those conclusions, they’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment.”

Added the source, “[They] see each other and go out together, but Jamie would tell you he is not involved with anyone seriously. [He]’s a workaholic and couldn’t be happier in his life as it is.”

The pair did live across the country from one another, with Holmes based in New York City with her daughter, Suri, and Foxx living in Los Angeles. Things were seemingly more serious by October 2018, when Holmes was seen wearing what looked like an engagement ring, though her rep denied it. That same year, Foxx celebrated Holmes’s 40th birthday with her mother, Kathleen, on a yacht in Miami. Finally, in May 2019, they attended the Met Gala together in coordinated outfits, though they skipped the red carpet.

Shortly after, it was reported the couple had split up. A source told Entertainment Tonight that the pair “never had a typical relationship.”

“They have always been incredibly independent, and their lives didn’t revolve around each other. They lived separately and in different cities and saw each other occasionally,” said the insider, adding things ended because they were “both caught up with their own families, careers and obligations that their relationship had to take a back seat.”

An insider talking to People said, “It ran its course. This industry is very tough on relationships…Jamie thinks Katie is an incredible human being. They had a very, very deep connection. They brought each other a lot of joy and laughter.”

Alyce Huckstepp

It’s unclear when exactly Foxx began dating Alyce Huckstepp, a friend of singer Sela Vave, who was a protegée of Foxx’s. They were perhaps initially photographed on what looked like a date in Cannes, France, in May 2022, though it was not confirmed to be Huckstepp in the picture. But in August 2023, they were most definitely spotted in Malibu at Nobu and then on a vacation in Cabo, in photos shared by Page Six.

“Things are going really well with Jamie and his girlfriend, Alyce,” a source told Us Weekly in September 2023, adding that Foxx and Huckstepp had been “dating for a little over a year now.”

They added the couple had “told one another they love each other, and they have an amazing time whenever they’re together….Alyce has a great sense of humor so she’s able to keep up with Jamie. They have a very playful banter, and she keeps him on his toes which he loves.”

Huckstepp was also at the taping of Foxx’s Netflix special in Atlanta in October 2024. However, in January 2025, it was reported that Huckstepp and Foxx had split. A reason for the breakup was not shared.
