How Meghan Markle Celebrated U.K. Mother’s Day With Archie and Lilibet
On Sunday, Meghan Markle celebrated the British version of Mother’s Day, otherwise known as Mothering Sunday, which happens in March. The Duchess of Sussex shared a picture of a citrus pie on her Instagram timeline, which was a warm orange color and covered in orange slices. The pie was decorated with several red flowers.
In the caption, Meghan wrote, “Our family tradition. Mothering Sunday in the UK ????”
The duchess shares two children with her husband Prince Harry, five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet. Meghan has recently been sharing more pictures with the kids, especially from around her Montecito, California, home. Earlier the same week, Meghan posted a picture of herself with Archie and Lilibet in the backyard, writing in the caption, “Every day is a love story ????️”
In the image, she and Lilibet are wearing matching straw hats. The young girl carried a wicker basket as she was held in Meghan’s arms. Archie clung to his mother’s leg. The duchess was wearing a white button-down and blue jeans.
In early March, she shared a video of making “thumbprint cookies” with the children as well.
In a recent interview with People, Meghan shared a bit about her recent focus on homemaking.
“When your children get to a certain age—when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost playing in your own sandbox again—it’s super joyful,” she said. “As a woman, a mom and a wife, to be able to find yourself again—in a way that was always present but that you maybe couldn’t put as much attention on as you now can when your kids are a little bit older—is a wonderful feeling.”
Meghan also recently released the first season of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, which follows her at home, sharing cooking, gardening and hosting tips.
