Perkins, a comedian and actor who’s appeared in titles like The Blackening and One of Them Days, appears in episode 1 as Tyler, a member of the marketing team who works with Kathryn Hahn’s Maya.

Mejia appears to be in all sorts of comedies these days, whether it’s Abbott Elementary, Curb Your Enthusiasm, or One of Them Days. In The Studio, she plays Petra, a secretary at Matt’s office.

The Oppenheimer, Santa Clause, and 10 Things I Hate About You star plays Mitch Weitz, a Hollywood agent whose clients include director Nicholas Stoller.

While he doesn’t appear on-screen, Belloni’s recognizable voice plays in a fictional episode of his entertainment podcast, The Town, while Rogen’s Matt is in his car. He’s already sharing reports about the Kool-Aid movie.

Stoller is known for directing comedies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Neighbors. In The Studio, he also appears as himself, pitching an idea for the Kool-Aid film.

The esteemed director appears as himself in the first episode with a pitch for a movie about the Jonestown massacre, which Matt tries to merge with the Kool-Aid project.

The actor known for roles in Boardwalk Empire, Fargo, Reservoir Dogs, and more appears as himself at the end of episode 1. Scorsese had him in mind to star in the potential Kool-Aid movie.

The Mad Max star appears as herself at the end of the first episode, as she hosts a party for fellow stars. Her many attendees include Scorsese, Buscemi, and Matt.

The Women Talking director appears as herself in episode 2, in the midst of filming her latest project, which stars Greta Lee and features an ambitious one-shot finale.

The Past Lives star also appears in episode 2 during Polley’s film shoot. In the show, she’s set to leave for a Christopher Nolan movie about Jack the Ripper.

The young actor, who appeared in The Mick, plays a PA named Doug on Polley’s set in episode 2.
