Why Taylor Swift May Be Spending a Lot More Time at Her Home in Nashville

It was reported in November that Taylor Swift hosted her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his family for Thanksgiving at her Nashville home. A source tells Page Six that there may be more time in Tennessee ahead for the super star. Swift’s Eras Tour came to a close on December 8, and she now has time to settle into a regular routine.

“It looks like this may be Taylor’s domestic era,” said the insider. “It also looks like Taylor is going to make Nashville more of a home base than LA or NY since it’s closer to Kansas City, and her mom, Andrea, loves [Nashville] too.”

Swift actually owns two properties in Nashville, as well as homes in Los Angeles, New York City, and Rhode Island.

“Taylor and Travis live fairly nomadic lives, and Taylor has home bases everywhere, but they live everywhere together,” the source explained.

It has also been new and fun for Swift to meet and befriend the NFL family.

“Taylor is really embracing WAG life,” the insider shared. “I think she’s adapted so well to WAG life because she truly understands what it’s like to be part of a team—especially coming off Eras where she formed such a close connection with her band, dancers, singers and crew…She appreciates that sort of camaraderie and collaboration, that kind of chosen family. She fully gets and respects those bonds and why they need to be supported.”

However, Swift is still focused on making new music.

“She can’t stop,” said the source. “The idea of your work family becoming your friend group is a natural for her—she has always befriended the people she works with, from Jack Antonoff to the Haim sisters to Ed Sheeran.”

This year, Swift has been attending Kelce’s games with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium whenever her schedule has allowed, though she missed his Christmas Day game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. The star is unlikely to attend away games due to security concerns at unfamiliar venues.

In early December, a source told Us Weekly that the couple is looking forward to spending so much consistent time together, saying, “Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis. She’s told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.”

The insider added, “Taylor and Travis are eager to spend quality time together because [that’s when] the little nuances about someone’s personality and habits come into play. They will learn so much about each other.”
