Why Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly Don’t Want to ‘Give Up’ Despite ‘Trust Issues’

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have been dating since 2020, and became engaged in 2022. In 2023, they seemingly hit a difficult time in their relationship that they have reportedly been working to recover from, according to a source speaking with People.

“One day they’re up, the next they’re down,” the insider claimed. “That intensity is still there nearly four years into their relationship, but that’s not necessarily ‘healthy.’”

The source went on, “There are still a ton of trust issues between them and it’s very toxic…They can’t stay away from each other and there’s a lot of history there, but they also don’t know how to be in a healthy relationship. They’ll be totally fine, then days later get into a huge blowout fight and not talk for weeks, but then give in and be all lovey-dovey again.”

The couple met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass, and had an immediate connection. Soon after meeting, during an interview on the Give Them Lala … With Randall podcast, Fox said, “I knew, I could feel that some wild s— was going to happen to me from that meeting, but I wasn’t yet sure what. I just felt it like, deep in my soul—that something was going to come from that.”

She added, “I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we’re actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away.”

When they announced their engagement, they shared that they sealed the deal by drinking one another’s blood. MGK gave Fox a ring that was designed to be painful to take off. But on the Call Her Daddy podcast this week, the Transformers actress announced the engagement was officially off.

“You got engaged and I think it got called off…how would you describe your relationship with MGK?” asked host Alex Cooper.

“As of now I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship per se,” Fox responded. “What I can say [is] that [he’s] what I refer to as being my ‘twin soul.’ There will always be a tether to him no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be connected to him somehow.”

She added, “Beyond that I’m not willing to explain.”

“They never picked back up wedding plans or even got to a place where they could think about really getting married,” the source explained. “It doesn’t seem like either wants to give the other up, even though they both know it’s not healthy.”
