Travis Kelce on What His Trip to See Taylor Swift in Australia Was Really Like: There’s ‘a Lot of False Media’

Travis Kelce didn’t hold back sharing details on his and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, about what really went down when he went to Australia to see Taylor Swift. He detailed their zoo date and his experience at her Sydney concert.

Jason asked Travis how his life is doing right now. “Dude, I have no idea,” Travis replied. “A lot of false media [about my life], but I’ll tell you what wasn’t false: When I landed in Australia and seeing all the cameras.”

At the zoo, “there were full-on helicopters just flying around. Yeah, they helicopter’ed us—well not us, Taylor. This is all because Taylor is the biggest and the best thing possible. I’ll tell you what though: The kangaroos were pretty sweet. Got to see a red panda up close and personal….they look like a friendly raccoon.” The brothers spent a considerable amount of time talking about the animals Travis met at the zoo, without mentioning Taylor.

Then they touched on her concert. “It was fun, and then we [fellow football star and friend, Ross Travis, and I] got to enjoy the Taylor Swift show,” Travis Kelce said, finishing his zoo date summary.

“Sydney did not disappoint,” he continued. I’m pretty sure the crowds over there—they’re already rowdy. The Australians are pretty rowdy. They like to have a good time. I like to have a good time. They were just, like, a little bit louder than the Argentinian crowd, and I was not expecting that because Argentina was fucking loud, and they were into it, and so was Sydney.”

He briefly touched on Taylor’s thoughts being there, saying, “Taylor is very fond of performing in Australia because of the crowds over there and how into it they get. So shout-out to Australia for showing up.”

Swift reflected on her time performing in Sydney on Instagram. She is currently in the middle of her Singapore shows before she is on break from tour again until May.

“Sydney, Sydney, Sydney, Sydney… what a whirlwind of endless magical moments with you,” she wrote. “I’m so grateful that we got to be the first tour to play Accor Stadium 4 times. I’ll never forget singing with Sabrina, the chaotic acoustic mashups, and the crowds that were louder (singing AND screaming) than I thought humanly possible. I want to thank all of the Aussie fans for being so positive and passionate, so funny and wild and FUN. Love you forever ????”
